How Can Osteopathy Help?
Osteopathy was originally developed to treat a wide range of disorders by working on the musculoskeletal system. As a result it is nowadays best know as a safe and effective treatment for problems associated with the body’s structure. Complaints commonly treated include low back and neck pain, sciatica, joint pain and sprains, sports injuries, RSI, muscular sprains, headaches, arthritis and frozen shoulder. Osteopathy is also often able to offer treatment and advice to help with the effects of other more chronic conditions such as asthma and irritable bowel syndrome for example.
You do not always have to be in pain to visit an Osteopath. You may want an assessment of your posture or advice on ways to improve your health through your lifestyle. This could include dietary and exercise advice, work and leisure ergonomic assessment.
The overall aim of Osteopathy is not just short term help but long term improvement without the need, if possible, for continual treatment and reliance on the Osteopath.
